Warping cylinder heads, blown head gaskets, leaks and a slipping automatic transmission can be found in abundance with the EF. They say engines and transmissions need rebuilding around the 200-250k mark but you hear of ex taxis going around the clock. So when it actually needs it seems to depend on the car itself.
