AU TS-50

The AU TS50 was a high-performance variant of the Ford Falcon produced by Tickford. It was part of their lineup of performance vehicles, designed to offer enhanced performance, handling, and styling compared to the standard Ford Falcon models. Introduced in 1999 as part of the AU Falcon series, the AU TS50 was the top of Falcon range.

1. Engine and Performance: The AU TS50 was powered by a 5.0-liter “Windsor” V8 engine, similar to the powerplant used in other Tickford models of the same era. This engine was tuned to produce approximately 250 kW (335 hp) of power and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, delivering potent acceleration and strong performance across the rev range. It was paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

2. Chassis and Suspension: The AU TS50 featured a performance-tuned suspension system that was specifically calibrated to provide a balance of comfort and dynamic handling characteristics. Upgraded springs, dampers, and stabilizer bars helped to improve stability and cornering ability, while larger brakes provided enhanced stopping power and control. The TS50 also featured a limited-slip differential as standard, improving traction and drivability.

3. Exterior and Interior: Visually, the AU TS50 featured aggressive styling cues that set it apart from the standard Falcon models. It was equipped with unique body enhancements, including a front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear wing, which improved aerodynamics and gave the TS50 a more purposeful appearance. The interior was also upgraded with sports seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and unique trim accents, creating a sporty and luxurious ambiance for the driver and passengers.

4. Limited Production and Rarity: Exact production numbers for the AU TS50 are difficult to ascertain. However, it is estimated that only a relatively small number of AU TS50 units were produced during its production run from 1999 to 2002.
